About this job
Our company is looking for a part-time Class A CDL driver to run local routes out of Corbin, KY. You'll be home every day, hauling no-touch auto parts freight in a dry van, and get paid weekly.
Pay
- Weekly pay
- $275 - $310 per day when you run routes
- Average of 20+ hours a week
Schedule
- Thursday and Friday, plus some Saturdays
- Your start time may be AM or PM, but you'll work the same 8-hour window each of those days
- This role can't accommodate an automatic-only restriction
What you'll haul
- Solo routes covering KY, OH, AL and TN
- Local, home daily
- Day cab tractor pulling a 53' dry van
- No-touch freight: auto parts
Equipment
Trucks are 36 months old or newer, backed by 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at more than 800 locations nationwide.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Pass our company's drug test, background check and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from employers over the past 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical and a our company road test
- Hold the correct CDL and endorsements for the job
- Verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, OR 2 years in the last 5 years, OR 5 years in the last 10 years
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions and apply relevant laws, rules and procedures
- Some assignments may require extra screening, such as employment or education checks, a motor vehicle records review, a road test, or customer badging/background requirements
Responsibilities
- Follow applicable federal and state laws and company safety standards
- Spot and reduce safety hazards
- Keep accurate logs and records
- Load or unload freight when the customer requires it
- Handle other assigned duties
