About this job
Our company is hiring on behalf of a client looking for a dependable part-time DZ driver to handle local deliveries and pickups. The role starts at roughly three days a week with room to grow into more hours or a full-time position, and new hires begin with full-time training.
Pay
- $24.00 per hour
Schedule
- About three days weekly to start, with potential for additional shifts or full-time work
- Training is done on a full-time schedule
- You'll need to stay flexible for extra days when the job calls for it
What you'll do
- Drive DZ-licensed vehicles on local routes
- Load and unload shipments, using a forklift or doing it by hand when needed
- Check that freight is secured before heading out
- Confirm order accuracy while loading and unloading
- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle checks
- Keep delivery paperwork and logs up to date
- Follow traffic and safety rules at all times
- Deliver with professionalism and good customer service
- Stay in contact with dispatch and warehouse staff about schedules and issues
Requirements
- Valid DZ license and a clean driving record, with a cleared driver's abstract
- Experience in commercial driving or freight transport is a plus
- Comfortable operating a forklift and handling heavy equipment
- Able to lift and move materials safely
- Punctual, reliable and open to flexible scheduling
