Part-Time Class 3 Truck Driver — Regional Routes, Maritimes

Our company in Moncton, NB needs a part-time truck driver to move freight between company sites and out to customers across the Maritimes, with occasional runs into Quebec or Newfoundland. You'll report to the Production supervisor and work variable hours, including some trips with overnight stays away from home.

Pay and schedule

• Paid by the hour.

• Schedule varies with business needs, and you need to be flexible.

• Some overtime may come up depending on workload.

• Occasional overnight, multi-day trips within the Maritimes, and at times to Quebec or Newfoundland.

What you'll do

• Haul and deliver freight on time and in line with safety rules.

• Check your vehicle before, during and after each trip.

• Load, secure and unload freight safely.

• Fill out trip logs, inspection forms and other paperwork correctly.

• Stay in touch with dispatch or your supervisor throughout the day.

• Flag any breakdowns, accidents or delivery delays right away.

• Keep the truck clean and help with routine upkeep.

• Deal with customers in a professional, courteous way.

Requirements

• Valid driver's licence, Class 3 with air brake endorsement at minimum (a different class may apply depending on business needs).

• Clean driving record.

• Experience driving commercial vehicles or doing delivery work.

• Solid grasp of road safety rules and transport regulations.

• Comfortable working on your own and managing your time.

• Physically able to help with loading and unloading when needed.

• Adaptable to changing routes, schedules and last-minute changes.

• Reliable, punctual and safety-minded, with good customer-service instincts.
