About this job
Our company needs a part-time Class 3 driver for local delivery runs out of Duncan, BC. You'll work Saturdays with the chance to pick up extra shifts, driving a straight truck with curtain side and flatbed configurations.
Schedule
- Part time, Saturday day shift
- Additional shifts may be available
What you'll haul
- Local deliveries around Saanich and nearby areas
- Straight truck, curtain side and flatbed equipment
What the job involves
- Pre-trip inspections to confirm the truck is road-ready
- Loading and unloading cargo, checking it's accounted for and secured properly
- Staying in touch with dispatch for updates, instructions, and any delays
Requirements
- 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience
- Class 3 license with air brake endorsement
- Able to read and communicate well enough to follow instructions
- Clean driver's abstract dated within the last 30 days
- Forklift or Moffett certification is a plus
- Team-oriented attitude
- Willing to undergo a criminal record check
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
