About this job
ECL – Ecadnac Contracting Ltd. needs a Class 1 Driver for part-time, local dump truck work around the Okanagan, supporting civil construction and hauling projects. This could suit an experienced driver wanting extra local work without a full-time commitment.
Pay
- $32–$38 per hour
- Expected hours: 1.0–40.0 per week
What you'll haul
- Tandem dump truck and pup trailer
- Aggregate, excavation material, surplus soil, asphalt and construction materials
- Local project and jobsite hauling
Responsibilities
- Operate the truck and trailer safely and efficiently
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Keep the truck and paperwork organized
- Work safely around active construction sites and loading areas
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers and site personnel
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 driver's licence
- Dump truck experience preferred; pup trailer experience an asset
- Clean, safe driving record
- Able to work independently and be flexible with part-time or project-based hours
- Comfortable working around construction sites and heavy equipment
