Part-Time CDL-A Local Delivery Driver — Fridays and Saturdays, Home Nightly

Our company is looking for a reliable CDL-A driver to run a local delivery route in the Rocky Hill, CT area on Fridays and Saturdays. You'll handle a tractor-trailer and hand-unload food and supply orders at customer stops, while building good working relationships along your route.

Schedule

• This role covers Fridays and Saturdays only.

• Routes are daily, and drivers are typically home each night.

What you'll haul

• Deliveries include meats, produce, frozen items, groceries, dry goods and other supplies.

• Expect to lift, push or carry goods averaging 40-60 pounds, sometimes up to 100 pounds, on a repeated basis.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.

• Valid Class A CDL with a driving record that meets our company's insurability guidelines.

• Able to pass required employment testing.

• Sufficient English skills to read road signs, communicate with customers and the public, respond to official requests, and complete paperwork.

• Preferred: a year of experience delivering to customers, six months using a hand truck or cart, six months in food and beverage work, and two years of steady job history.
