Part-Time Box Truck Driver — $25.00/hr, Local Routes

Our company needs a part-time box truck driver in West Valley City, UT to handle local and regional deliveries in a 26ft box truck. The role covers everything from simple drop-offs to white-glove service, including bringing items inside and assembling them for customers.

Pay

• $25.00 (this is the anticipated starting rate and may be adjusted based on market conditions, location, and final agreement with the selected candidate)

What you'll do

• Drive a 26ft box truck on assigned local and regional runs

• Pick up, load, unload and secure freight so it doesn't shift or get damaged in transit

• Confirm order accuracy, freight condition and delivery counts before handing off

• Handle basic hand tools for product assembly as needed

• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and flag any maintenance or safety concerns

• Fill out delivery paperwork, receipts and inspection records accurately

• Stay in contact with dispatch, warehouse staff and customers about delivery status, delays or vehicle problems

• Keep your truck and work area clean and organized

• Pitch in with warehouse or material-handling tasks when needed

• Follow traffic laws, DOT rules, company policy and any site-specific customer requirements

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (REAL ID) with a clean driving history

• Box truck, delivery or other commercial driving experience preferred

• Comfortable reading maps and using navigation tools

• Good communication, customer service and problem-solving skills

• Detail-oriented with a strong safety mindset

• Able to work both independently and as part of a team

• Open to overtime and flexible hours when the job calls for it

• Must speak, read and write English

• Must be able to pass a federal background check for access to military and government sites

• Current DOT medical certification

• Able to get in and out of the truck repeatedly and handle standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching and climbing throughout the shift

• Able to lift and move up to 75 lbs unassisted while loading, unloading and securing freight

Safety

You'll be expected to follow all company safety rules along with DOT, OSHA and, where relevant, TSA requirements, plus any safety rules at customer locations. Any accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions or damage to equipment or cargo must be reported right away.
