About this job
Our company (NSSL) is hiring a part-time AZ shunt driver for Saturdays and Sundays in Cambridge, ON. You will move trailers around a customer yard and between buildings, and you are home every day.
Pay
- Starts at $23.00 per hour
- Paid weekly through payroll
What you'll do
- Position trailers at dock doors and in the drop lot, in step with dispatch/yard control
- Look over your truck at the start of each day and tell the regional manager when it needs repairs
- Check trailers and complete moves in NSSL's own software
- Keep your work area tidy and follow safe operating procedures every time
Requirements
- Valid AZ licence
- Clean driving abstract and CVOR
- At least 1 year of experience is preferred
- Comfortable working with computer programs
- Able to keep up in a fast-paced yard
- Good customer service and a safety-first mindset
