About this job
Our company is looking for an experienced Owner Operator to haul freight across Canada and the USA. You'll run your own truck, manage your routes, and work closely with dispatch to keep shipments on schedule.
Pay
- $15,000.00-$25,000.00 per month
What you'll haul
- Freight moving between Canada and the USA on various routes
What the job involves
- Driving your commercial truck safely to get loads to their destinations on time
- Doing full pre-trip and post-trip checks on your truck and trailer, covering brakes, lights, tires and other key systems
- Keeping accurate paperwork for every load, including delivery receipts, e-logs and inspection records
- Staying in regular contact with dispatchers about schedules, route changes or any problems on the road
- Handling basic repairs or troubleshooting to keep your equipment running
- Following all transportation laws and safety rules at every level
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 License with solid commercial driving experience
- Good understanding of freight handling and safety practices
- Comfortable with basic automotive troubleshooting and repair
- Strong communication skills for working with dispatch and clients
- Organized and detail-focused, able to keep clean records and e-logs
- Good time management to hit delivery deadlines without cutting corners on safety
