About this job
Our company in Ontario, OH is looking for a dependable truck driver to haul freight over the road. You'll run long-distance routes, handle loading and unloading, and keep everything compliant with federal and state trucking rules.
What you'll do
- Drive tractor-trailers on over-the-road routes, following all FMCSA and DOT rules
- Load and unload freight, including hazardous materials when the job calls for it
- Use GPS to plan routes that save time and fuel
- Keep accurate paperwork for deliveries, pickups and vehicle inspections
- Check your truck before and after each trip for maintenance or safety concerns
Schedule
This is an over-the-road position with trips lasting about 3 weeks at a time.
Requirements
- At least 3 months of experience driving commercially, including delivery and long-distance route work
- Familiarity with FMCSA and DOT rules, plus hazardous materials and dangerous goods handling
- A clean driving record covering the past 5 years
- Strong, safety-focused driving skills and awareness of road hazards
Work location: on the road.
