OTR Truck Driver — Out 3 Weeks at a Time

Our company in Ontario, OH is looking for a dependable truck driver to handle over-the-road freight runs. You will drive tractor-trailers on long-distance routes, load and unload cargo, and keep everything compliant with federal and state rules.

What you'll do

• Run OTR routes in tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks, following FMCSA and DOT rules

• Load and unload freight, including hazardous materials when required

• Use GPS to plan routes for on-time delivery and good fuel efficiency

• Keep accurate records of pickups, deliveries and vehicle inspections

• Check your truck before and after each trip for maintenance or safety concerns

Schedule

Expect to be out on the road for stretches of 3 weeks at a time.

Requirements

• At least 3 months of commercial driving experience, including delivery and long-distance route work

• Familiarity with FMCSA and DOT rules, plus hazardous materials and dangerous goods handling

• A clean driving record going back at least 5 years

• Strong, safety-focused driving skills and awareness of road hazards

This is an on-the-road position.
