OTR Truck Driver — $1,500–$2,000/Week

Our company in Charlotte, NC is looking for an Over the Road truck driver to haul freight across long distances. You'll work with a mix of equipment and handle different freight types while keeping safety and compliance front and center.

Pay

• $1,500.00 to $2,000.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers and refrigerated trailers

• General freight, refrigerated goods, hazmat, and vehicle transport depending on the load

• Securing cargo properly, including dangerous goods when assigned

What the job involves

• Running OTR routes and planning them with GPS to hit delivery windows

• Loading and unloading freight by hand as needed

• Doing pre-trip and post-trip equipment checks

• Keeping accurate hours-of-service, delivery and cargo paperwork per FMCSA and DOT rules

• Staying in touch with dispatch on delivery progress, route issues or safety concerns

Requirements

• Solid commercial driving background with OTR and delivery route experience

• Comfortable operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers and tractor-trailers

• Able to use GPS navigation for route planning

• Capable of handling hazmat loads under applicable regulations, and understands dangerous goods safety rules

• Hands-on experience loading and unloading preferred

• Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT safety standards

• Manual transmission experience is a plus

• Strong communication skills for working with dispatch and customers
