About this job
Forever Trucking & Logistics is looking for a dependable OTR driver to run a 26ft non-CDL box truck on long-distance routes. You'll need to be professional, safety-focused and comfortable dealing directly with customers, with the company also offering a path toward eventually owning your own trucking business.
Pay
- You earn 20% of the rate confirmation (Rate Con) for each load, with a guaranteed minimum of $1,000 per week.
- Performance-based bonus incentives are available.
- Base pay is listed as $4,000.00 to $6,000.00 per month.
What you'll haul
- You'll run a 26ft non-CDL box truck on over-the-road routes, planning your path to keep deliveries on schedule.
- Loading and unloading freight is part of the job, sometimes with a liftgate or pallet jack.
- You may also help out with warehouse tasks like organizing and tracking inventory.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and a clean record; box truck experience is a plus, and you'll need to supply an MVR covering the last 30 days.
- Must pass a DOT physical and hold a current Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Working knowledge of Hours of Service rules and ELD use.
- Prior delivery driving experience is a strong plus.
- Solid customer communication skills for interacting with clients on the road.
- Able to handle physical work including heavy lifting and freight handling.
- Comfortable operating a forklift and pallet jack.
- Self-motivated and able to manage your schedule without close supervision.
- Ready to travel long distances as the job requires.
- A criminal record will not disqualify you from applying.
Preferred experience
- Previous OTR work in a 26ft or larger box truck.
- Some mechanical know-how for basic vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with dispatch apps, GPS routing tools and load boards.
Benefits
- The company offers mentorship for drivers who want to eventually start their own trucking business, including guidance on buying a truck and setting up FMCSA registration and compliance.
