OTR CDL Truck Driver — Modern Equipment, Quarterly Bonuses

Our company is looking for OTR CDL drivers to haul freight across the lower 48 states, with occasional runs into Canadian provinces. You'll typically be out for 10-14 days at a stretch, running newer trucks and earning quarterly bonus pay on top of your base compensation.

Routes and freight

• Freight pickups and deliveries span multiple states in the lower 48, with some trips crossing into Canada.

• Hazmat and Passport endorsements aren't required, but having them is a plus.

• Expect to be out on the road for roughly 10 to 14 days per trip.

• About 92% of freight is already under contract, so trucks aren't sitting around waiting for loads.

What the job involves

• Safely and legally moving freight long distances on schedule.

• Staying in regular contact with dispatch, customers and support staff.

• Hooking/unhooking trailers, securing loads, and handling tarps or tire chains when weather or flatbed work calls for it.

• Keeping up with required paperwork and staying compliant with state and federal trucking regulations.

• Doing pre-trip and routine equipment checks, and flagging any needed repairs.

• Keeping your tractor and trailer clean inside and out.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License.

• At least 6 months of tractor-trailer driving experience (less than that means extra training time).

• Working knowledge of DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

• Ability to meet DOT medical and safety standards, including passing a drug/alcohol screening.

• A clean background check.

• Must be 21 or older and legally able to drive a commercial vehicle across state lines.

• Able to handle extended time away from home, stay alert for driving shifts up to 11 hours, and work through tough weather, heat and cold alike.

• Comfortable with the physical demands of the job: lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs regularly, plus frequent squatting, crouching, reaching and climbing in and out of the cab.
