About this job
Our company needs an OTR CDL driver in Jacksonville, FL 32220 to run over-the-road lanes, using GPS to map out and track deliveries. The freight varies, so you'll move containers, flatbed and dry van loads depending on what's assigned.
Pay
- Starting at $24.00 per hour
- Weekly hours typically run 40-55
What you'll haul
- A mix of container, flatbed and dry van freight, based on the assignment
What the job involves
- Running OTR and route-based assignments as scheduled
- Checking over, loading, unloading and tying down freight
- Keeping records of loads, delays and any truck problems
- Staying compliant with FMCSA, DOT and hazmat rules
Requirements
- Active CDL with the ability to operate an automatic transmission
- 5 years behind the wheel of a commercial truck, OTR time a plus
- Hands-on experience with containers, flatbeds and dry vans
- Must hold a TWIC badge
- Clean driving history and ability to pass a background check
