OTR CDL-A Truck Driver — $3,000–$4,000/Week

Drive long-haul freight coast to coast with this OTR CDL-A position based out of Summit, IL. You'll run East Coast and West Coast lanes with mileage pay plus extra stop pay, and you won't be stuck waiting around unpaid.

Pay

• $0.78 per mile heading East Coast

• $0.72 per mile heading West Coast

• $50 for each stop beyond the first

• Paid layover

• Paid detention

• Weekly earnings range from $3,000.00 to $4,000.00

What you'll haul

You'll handle a mix of freight types, which may include refrigerated goods, hazmat and other dangerous goods, flatbed and tanker loads, and vehicle transport. Expect to load, unload and secure freight by hand depending on the trailer type.

What the job involves

• Running OTR routes while following DOT and FMCSA rules

• Using GPS to plan routes and adjust for traffic or road conditions

• Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections covering brakes, tires, lights and load security

• Keeping accurate logs, delivery and pickup records per DOT standards

• Staying in contact with dispatch and customers to manage schedules and handle issues on the road

Requirements

• CDL-A with OTR driving experience; prior delivery driving experience is a plus

• Comfortable with manual transmission trucks and hands-on loading/unloading

• Experience with refrigerated trailers and knowledge of hazardous materials handling

• Skilled with GPS navigation and committed to safety on the road

• Solid understanding of DOT hours-of-service, load securement and vehicle maintenance rules

• Flatbed or tanker freight experience is a plus
