About this job
Our company is looking for experienced CDL-A drivers to run long-haul OTR routes as 1099 contractors. You'll haul no-touch dry van and reefer freight in well-equipped Freightliner Cascadias.
Pay
- $0.70 per mile on all miles
- Weekly settlements average $2,800 to $4,000, paid one week behind (Monday–Sunday pay period)
- Settlement statements issued Thursdays, direct deposit on Fridays
- Clean-inspection bonuses: $1,000 for a clean Level 1 full inspection, $400 for a clean Level 2 walk-around, $400 for a clean Level 3 driver-only inspection
Home time
You can take your assigned truck home between runs, and drivers are generally expected to stay out on the road for about 3 weeks at a stretch.
What you'll haul
- 100% no-touch dry van and reefer loads
- Trucks are Freightliner Cascadias equipped with a tablet, mattress, APU, fuel card and PrePass
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A
- At least 2 years of OTR driving experience
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- No more than 2 moving and 2 non-moving violations on your driving record in the past 3 years
- Not currently or previously enrolled in the SAP program
What you'll do
- Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely on long-haul routes in line with FMCSA rules
- Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Plan efficient routes, secure loads, and deliver on time
- Keep accurate electronic logs and stay in touch with dispatch and customers
