About this job
This is an OTR reefer position hauling freight mainly from Michigan to the Northeast, paid as a percentage of the truck's gross revenue. The company is adding drivers for its small fleet and wants someone dependable for the long haul, not a rotating seat.
Pay
- You earn 27% of the truck's total weekly gross as a 1099 contractor
- Trucks typically gross $8,000-$12,000 per week, which works out to roughly $2,160-$3,240 at that percentage
- Posted weekly pay range is $2,160.00 - $3,500.00
- Paid by direct deposit every week
What you'll haul
- Refrigerated (reefer) loads
- Lanes run primarily between Michigan and the Northeast
- Freight and lanes are steady, with the aim of keeping your truck loaded and moving
Home time
- Plan on at least 3 weeks on the road followed by 5 days home
- You can stay out longer if you want to boost your earnings, even for months at a stretch
- Drivers who run extended stretches can take 2 or more weeks off afterward, depending on how things line up
Requirements
- At least 2 years of CDL-A driving experience
- Clean driving record
- No SAP program drivers
- Reefer hauling experience is a plus
- You should be reliable, communicate clearly, and look after the truck and trailer
Benefits
- The company covers your transportation to reach the truck and trailer if you're hired
- Relocation assistance is available
This is a dedicated truck assignment, not a slip-seat setup. As a small fleet, you'll deal directly with the team instead of getting lost in a big operation.
The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
