OTR CDL-A Driver — $75–85,000/Year

Our company is looking for a dependable OTR driver out of Charlotte, NC to run a regional corridor connecting Charlotte, Indianapolis, Zanesville, and St. Joseph. You'll be away from home for extended stretches and responsible for getting freight there on time and intact.

What you'll haul

• Freight moving along the Charlotte, NC - Indianapolis, IN - Zanesville, OH - St. Joseph, MO corridor

• You'll load, secure and unload freight as needed, and check shipments against the bills of lading

What the job involves

• Running pre-trip and post-trip inspections that meet DOT rules and company standards

• Logging your hours and paperwork accurately through your ELD

• Staying in touch with dispatch on route progress, delays and delivery confirmations

• Following Hours of Service rules at all times

• Handling basic roadside fixes and reporting any mechanical problems right away

• Keeping a professional presence at shipper and receiver locations

• Keeping your cab and trailer clean and DOT-compliant

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record

• At least 3 years of verifiable OTR or long-haul experience

• A current DOT medical card, or the ability to get one before starting

• Comfortable using ELDs and standard fleet technology

• Solid understanding of DOT, HOS and FMCSA rules

• Able to safely handle a 53' dry van or flatbed trailer

• Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
