OTR CDL-A Driver — $2,500–$3,500/Week

Our company is looking for an OTR CDL-A driver to run dry van and reefer freight on long-distance routes out of Chicago, IL. You'll haul a mix of general freight, refrigerated goods and occasionally hazardous materials, so safety and compliance matter on every run.

Pay

• $2,500.00 - $3,500.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Dry van and refrigerated (reefer) trailers

• General freight, refrigerated goods, and occasionally hazardous materials

• You'll keep reefer trailers at the right temperature to protect the load

What the job involves

• Driving a manual transmission tractor-trailer on OTR routes

• Loading and unloading freight using proper handling procedures

• Planning routes with GPS to hit delivery windows

• Running pre-trip, en-route and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Keeping accurate paperwork: load/unload records, delivery receipts and logs per DOT rules

• Following FMCSA, DOT and hazmat regulations when applicable

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record

• Proven OTR long-haul experience

• Comfortable with manual transmission trucks

• Experience loading and unloading various freight types

• Reefer, flatbed or tanker experience is a plus

• Hazmat knowledge is a plus; willing to get certified if you're not already

• Solid grasp of cargo handling, GPS route planning and FMCSA compliance
