About this job
Our company is looking for an OTR box truck driver with a clean driving record to haul freight on the road for 2-3 weeks at a time. You'll handle deliveries across multiple routes while keeping safety and accuracy front and center.
Pay
- $750.00 - $1,250.00 per week
Schedule
- Expect stretches of 2-3 weeks on the road before returning home
What you'll haul
- Box truck freight on over-the-road routes
- May include refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers or other specialized equipment as needed
What you'll do
- Drive safely on long-haul routes, following all traffic laws and safety rules
- Load and unload goods carefully, using pallet jacks, straps or load bars to keep cargo secure
- Run pre-trip and post-trip checks, including manual transmission and refrigeration unit inspections when relevant
- Map out efficient routes and stay in touch with dispatch for updates or changes
- Fill out delivery paperwork, logs and inspection reports accurately
Requirements
- Commercial driving background, ideally with route delivery and freight handling experience
- Comfortable with load/unload tasks and cargo securement methods
- Understanding of trucking safety protocols
- Valid Class C license or higher, with a clean driving record
