About this job
Our company is looking for a Box Truck Driver to run over-the-road routes in a 26ft box truck, hauling freight to cities across the country.
Pay
- $200.00 - $225.00 per day
What you'll haul
- Freight moved long-distance in a 26ft box truck
- Occasional hands-on loading and unloading of freight
What you'll do
- Drive long-haul routes while following FMCSA and DOT rules
- Use GPS to plan routes that save time and fuel
- Check your truck before each trip for mechanical issues and safety compliance
- Keep accurate records of hours driven, deliveries made, and vehicle upkeep
- Stay in touch with dispatch about delivery progress, route changes, or any safety issues on the road
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Solid background in commercial driving, including long-distance and delivery routes
- Experience with a 26 ft box truck is a strong plus
- Understanding of FMCSA and DOT rules, plus hazardous materials and hazard communication standards
- Comfortable with loading and unloading procedures and handling cargo safely
