About this job
Our company is looking for a box truck driver based in Sterling Heights, MI to run over-the-road freight, with stretches on the road lasting one to two weeks at a time. Pay runs $1,500 to $2,500 per week.
What you'll haul
- Box truck freight delivered to destinations both nearby and across multiple states
What you'll do
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your vehicle
- Keep accurate logs and delivery paperwork
- Stay in touch with dispatch about your route and schedule
- Get pickups and drop-offs done on time
- Follow all DOT rules and the company's safety standards
Requirements
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are a must
- At least a year of experience driving a box truck; familiarity with ELDs is a plus
- Comfortable communicating in English
- Ready to travel roughly 75% of the time, including trips of one to two weeks
