About this job
Our company is looking for a dependable Class 1 driver to handle part-time, on-call shifts behind the wheel of a dump truck and pony trailer. You'll move materials between job sites as work comes up, so flexibility and quick response to call-ins matter.
What you'll do
- Drive a Class 1 dump truck and pony trailer rig on assigned runs
- Deliver materials and freight to job sites
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip checks and flag any mechanical issues
- Secure cargo properly and follow safety rules on the road and at sites
- Help load and unload materials as needed
- Run a forklift or other equipment if you're certified and asked to
- Keep your rig and work area tidy and report maintenance needs
What you need
- A valid Class 1 licence and a clean driving history
- Prior experience with dump trucks and trailers is preferred, though not mandatory
- Comfort with securing loads and handling freight is a plus
- Forklift ticket, heavy equipment experience, or basic mechanical know-how all count in your favor
- You should be punctual, able to work independently, and ready to answer on-call shifts
Pay
$30.00-$40.00 per hour
