About this job
Our company in Lockport, IL is looking for an independent contractor to run a company-provided 26ft box truck under a 1099 agreement. This is a path toward eventually owning your own truck, not a standard employee position.
Pay
- Starts at $1,500 per week
- Extra $100 for hitting 3,000 miles in a week
- Extra $200 bonus for any miles driven beyond 3,000 in a week
- Sign-on bonus available after a 90-day commitment
- Referral bonus program
Home time
- Plan to be on the road three weeks out of every month, with one week home
What you'll haul
- Box truck freight; the company supplies the truck, the loads, fuel, and covers the operational costs of running
Ownership path
- Drivers on this program can work toward owning their truck within 12 to 24 months
Requirements
- At least 2 years of OTR box truck experience
- Valid DOT medical card
- Clean motor vehicle record
- No CDL required
- Must commit to 90 days to qualify for the sign-on bonus
