About this job
Our company is hiring a Night Transit CDL A Driver to run trailers between their distribution centers in the West Hartford, CT area. You'll work night shifts Sunday through Thursday and be home every day, with no touch freight involved.
Pay
- Pay is structured as component pay (per day and per trip)
- Drivers are averaging $42 per hour
- Weekly pay
Home time
- Home every day (night shifts, Sunday-Thursday, starting 6-7pm until finished)
What you'll haul
- Loaded and empty trailers, both singles and doubles, between GFS Distribution Centers or point-to-point
Requirements
- Class A CDL with at least 2 years of experience
- Doubles (T) endorsement required, with prior experience pulling double trailers
- No auto restriction; must be able to run a 10-speed transmission
- At least 21 years old
- Able to push and pull up to 50 lbs to connect trailers
- Must read, write and communicate in English
- Pass a drug test and background check, and have a clean driving record
- Newly licensed drivers are welcome to apply
