New CDL-A OTR Driver Trainee — Paid Mentor Training, Home Monthly

Swift Transportation is bringing on newly licensed CDL-A drivers for a paid OTR trainee program running out of Detroit, MI. You'll ride with an experienced mentor to build real road skills before moving into a solo driving role.

Pay

• While training, drivers in Detroit, MI average $900 per week

• Once you finish training and move to solo OTR driving, pay shifts to a trip, hourly, or daily structure depending on the role

• For your first 90 days as a solo OTR company driver, you're guaranteed at least $1,000 per week (terms apply - ask a recruiter for the details)

• After one year on the job, vacation pay starts at $800

Home time

• Expect to be home on a monthly basis

• Learn directly from a seasoned driver mentor during paid over-the-road training

• No prior driving experience needed, just your CDL-A

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL, minimum age 21

• No DUI in the past 10 years for CDL-A holders (5 years for non-CDL-A holders)

• No more than 1 preventable DOT or on-road accident in the last 2 years, and no more than 3 preventable accidents total in that span; no major preventable accidents in the past 5 years

• No serious traffic violations in the last year, and no more than 2 moving violations over the last 2 years

• Must clear a DOT physical exam and drug screening

• No drug-related conviction in the past 5 years, and no illegal drug use or failed/refused tests in the last 10 years for CDL-A or CLP holders
