Long Haul Class 1 Truck Driver — $37/hour

Our company, a carrier started by a driver, is looking for Class 1 drivers and owner-operators for a full-time, permanent long haul position based in Leduc, Alberta. No experience is required — training is provided — though open-deck experience is a plus.

Pay

• $37 an hour, working roughly 40 to 60 hours a week

What you'll haul

• Straight or articulated trucks carrying general freight, with tarping and load securement duties

• Open-deck experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight, and tarp and secure cargo

• Complete pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections, plus preventive maintenance and basic roadside repairs

• Keep accurate logs: hours of service, distance, fuel use, and trip and inspection reports

• Communicate with dispatch and handle customer interactions, including payments and concerns

Requirements

• Class 1 (or Class A) driver's license with Air Brake (Z) endorsement

• High school graduation certificate

• Comfortable with physically demanding work and handling loads up to 50 lbs

• No prior experience needed; training provided
