Local/Regional CDL-A Driver — $78,000–$82,000/yr

Our company is hiring a full-time CDL-A driver for local and regional runs out of the Elgin / Chicago area in Illinois, pulling a 53-foot dry van. Most days you are close to home, with the occasional overnight trip.

Pay

• $78,000 to $82,000 per year

Home time and schedule

• Local and regional routes with steady miles all year

• Home daily or several times a week, depending on the route

• You may be asked to run out once or twice a week to IA, IN, OH or MO

What you'll do

• Drive a tractor-trailer carrying freight on local and regional lanes

• Inspect the truck before and after each trip

• Make sure cargo is secured and arrives on schedule

• Keep your logs accurate and follow DOT rules

• Stay in touch with dispatch about routes and delivery times

• Treat customers and coworkers with professionalism

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• 2 years of tractor-trailer experience preferred (the listing also marks 2 years of OTR as required)

• Clean driving record and a passed DOT drug screen

• Solid understanding of DOT safety regulations
