About this job
Our company is hiring a local delivery driver to run a non-CDL box van, moving seafood product from their Boston, MA warehouse to customers on a set route. You'll also help out on the production floor with sorting and packing when needed.
What you'll do
- Drive a scheduled local route delivering product on time
- Load and unload inventory between the warehouse and your vehicle throughout the day
- Confirm each delivery by scanning or writing in confirmation and collecting a signature
- Help sort and pack product on the production floor as needed
- Follow road safety rules plus company and state safety procedures for loading and unloading
Requirements
- At least 1 year of delivery driving experience; warehouse experience is a plus
- Must be 21 or older
- Valid, clean driver's license
- Able to pass a DOT physical
- Comfortable driving and parking a large vehicle
- Able to lift 30-50 pounds and be on your feet most of a 10-hour shift
- Experience with hand trucks, pallet jacks or forklifts, and in seafood or meat processing, is a plus
- Available Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends
- Comfortable working in cold conditions (below 32°F) and wet or dry environments
