Local DZ Truck Driver — $26.50/hr

JD Smith has an opening for a seasoned DZ truck driver at its Burlington, ON contract site. You'd work Monday to Friday, starting shifts at 5:00am, and you're hired directly as a company employee.

Pay

• $26.50 per hour

• Overtime at time and a half once you pass 44 hours in a week

• Most drivers in this role log 44 to 55 hours weekly

• A $1,000 bonus kicks in after your first 6 months on the job

What you'll do

• Stay in touch with dispatch about delivery timing and flag any delays right away

• Navigate to customer stops using route apps and local knowledge

• Deal with customers professionally during drop-offs

• Handle all delivery paperwork

• Check your tractor and trailer before and after every shift, and keep an eye on service and safety needs

• Keep the truck clean, drive safely, follow posted speed rules, and report any accidents immediately

Requirements

• At least 1 year of DZ driving experience

• A clean driving record

• Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate

• Must pass a background check, employment verification and reference checks

• Able to commute to or relocate near Burlington, ON L7L 4X2
