About this job
Our company, serving Mid-Western Ontario for over 50 years, is hiring a full-time fuel truck driver to work out of its Wingham or Listowel office. You will deliver fuel to commercial, residential and farm customers on a regular day shift.
Pay
- Starts at $30.00 per hour
Schedule
- Full-time, 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
- On call, with occasional evening and weekend deliveries
What you'll do
- Inspect your vehicle before and after every trip
- Deliver fuel to commercial, residential and farm customers while following all safety rules
- Give customers prompt, professional service
- Keep accurate records of your deliveries
Requirements
- Valid DZ licence and a clean driver's abstract
- Able to drive a manual transmission
- 1 year of heavy or tractor-trailer driving is preferred
- Able to follow the company's safe driving policy and Highway Traffic Act rules
- Able to read maps, follow delivery instructions, and communicate in English, including reading labels and signs and completing daily reports
- Able to repeatedly lift items up to 100 lbs and handle physically demanding work in a fast-paced setting near heavy equipment and other vehicles
- Good math, time management and computer skills
