Local DZ Delivery Driver — $26.58–$27.58/hr

Our company (FBM), a construction materials distributor serving the US and Canada, is hiring a local delivery driver in Vaughan, ON. You will drive trucks up to 26 ft to bring building materials to job sites, with daily home time on a union, full-time position.

Pay

• $26.58 an hour for your first three months, then $27.58 an hour (union rates)

• Final pay can vary with experience, qualifications and market

What you'll drive and haul

• Company trucks up to 26 ft: flatbeds, moffetts, cube vans and boom trucks

• Building materials delivered to job sites, plus forklift work as trained

Your day-to-day

• Inspect the truck before and after each trip, and check and secure your load before leaving

• Unload, verify the delivery and deal courteously with customers

• Keep the warehouse tidy and follow Transport Canada and CCOHS safety rules

• Take part in required meetings and training, and pitch in on other tasks when the team needs it

Requirements

• Valid DZ license

• At least 1 year of steady commercial driving experience

• Team player; you may be asked to guide others in your department

• Regularly lift or carry materials around 100 lbs with safe technique, and spend long stretches driving or on equipment
