About this job
Our company is hiring a delivery driver for its Mississauga store (#768702, 170 Brunel Road, L4Z 1T5). You will take products from the store to customers in a company van or pickup truck, making sure each order is complete, packed properly and delivered safely and on time. Between runs you will also help out inside the store.
Pay
- $23 an hour. The final rate depends on your skills, experience, training and licensing.
What you'll do
- Get orders ready and load them on the vehicle the right way
- Fill out the delivery paperwork and reports
- Keep to your assigned routes and time schedule
- Follow all transportation laws and keep a safe driving record
- Look after the store vehicle and tell your supervisor when it needs repairs or servicing
- Answer customer questions and deal with complaints
- Run equipment such as forklifts when needed
- Pitch in with warehouse work, tinting and mixing orders, and serving customers
Requirements
- At least 18 years old and legally allowed to work in Canada
- A valid, unrestricted driver's license
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs often and up to 70 lbs sometimes
- Nice to have: high school diploma, a year of delivery, retail or customer service work, a year using material handling equipment, paint sales experience, and more than one language
