Our company in Montréal, QC is hiring a local Class 1 truck driver to move containers on local routes. You'll handle freight with care and keep dispatch and receivers updated so deliveries run on schedule.
Pay
- $27.00-$28.00 per hour
What you'll do
- Drive assigned local routes safely in a commercial truck
- Load, unload, secure and check freight, using a forklift when it makes sense
- Inspect the vehicle and the load, flag any problems, and keep delivery paperwork correct
- Stay in touch with dispatch and receiving staff about schedules and delivery status
Requirements
- Three years of Class 1 driving experience
- Solid freight-handling habits, attention to detail and clear communication
- Able to follow route and delivery instructions
- Nice to have: heavy equipment experience or basic automotive repair knowledge
