Our company in Fargo, ND is looking for a local truck driver to haul freight within a 250-mile radius of the company, with deliveries completed and you back home every night.
Pay
- Starting from $25.00 per hour
Home time
- Home every night, local routes only
What you'll haul
- Freight picked up and delivered daily within a 250-mile radius
- Includes trailer swaps, drop-and-hooks, and moving trailers as needed
- Loading and unloading freight when required
Requirements
- Valid CDL
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- About 3 years of similar driving experience preferred
- Must meet DOT qualification and insurability standards
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and required drug/alcohol testing
- Comfortable with physical tasks like opening trailer doors, cranking landing gear, and loading/unloading freight
What you'll do
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and log them properly
- Check shipping paperwork for load details and any hazardous materials
- Secure freight according to safety rules before hitting the road
- Drive in line with company policy and FMCSA regulations
- Keep accurate logs, fuel receipts, mileage records, and other DOT paperwork
- Report any accidents, injuries, or equipment issues right away
- Let dispatch know about anything that could delay a pickup or delivery
