Local CDL Dump Truck Driver — $21–$24/hr

Our company in Richmond, VA is looking for a dump truck driver to haul materials on local routes for construction and industrial job sites. You'll run automatic-transmission trucks, keep loads secure, and work closely with dispatch to stay on schedule.

Pay

• $21.00 to $24.00 per hour

• About 40 hours per week

What you'll haul

• Materials and equipment for construction, mining or industrial job sites

• Local routes, running an automatic-transmission dump truck

What you'll do

• Load, unload and secure cargo safely

• Follow planned routes using GPS and adjust as dispatch directs

• Check your truck before and after each trip for mechanical issues and proper load securement

• Keep accurate logs of hours, loads, routes and deliveries per FMCSA rules

• Stay in contact with dispatchers and site staff on pickups, drop-offs and schedule changes

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record

• Background operating tractor-trailers or dump trucks on set routes

• Comfortable with cargo load/unload procedures and handling equipment safely

• Familiar with GPS route planning

• Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT rules, including those covering hazardous materials
