What you'll haul
- Finished products and materials, moving between Tangent locations
- Mostly short, local runs, with regional trips now and then
What you'll do
- Drive a semi-truck safely and stay within traffic and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight, positioning the truck as loading crews direct
- Check your equipment regularly and flag any problems to the Shipping Supervisor
- Organize trailers in the yard to keep loading running smoothly
- Make sure cargo arrives in the same condition it left in
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years behind the wheel of a semi-truck and trailer under a CDL
- No moving violations, DUIs, crashes, or license suspensions on your record
- A high school diploma or GED
- A commercial driver's license valid for the weight class you'll be driving
- Legal authorization to work in the US
- Capable of lifting as much as 40 pounds and sitting for extended stretches on the road
