About this job
Our company is looking for a Class B CDL driver to run local routes out of Raleigh, NC, delivering medical supplies on a straight truck. You'll be home every day and paid weekly on an hourly basis.
Pay
- $25.00 per hour, paid weekly
- 40-45 hours per week
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, with an early morning start
- Home daily
What you'll haul
- Local routes within North Carolina
- 26' straight truck, 36 months old or newer
- Medical supplies that require heavy-touch handling, including loading and unloading
- Pallet jack and stair walkers provided for the job
- Customer and patient interaction is part of the role
- A TWIC card is a plus but not mandatory; our company will reimburse the cost if you get one
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with the right endorsements
- Verifiable tractor-trailer or comparable experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, OR 2 years in the last 5 years, OR 5 years in the last 10 years
- Must pass a drug test, background check, motor vehicle record review, DOT physical and road test, including verification of drug and alcohol history from employers over the past 3 years
- Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, and apply relevant laws, rules and procedures
- Some assignments may involve extra screening such as employment or education checks, additional road tests, or customer-specific badging requirements
What you'll do
- Follow all applicable safety and regulatory rules
- Spot and address potential safety hazards
- Keep accurate logs and records
- Load and unload freight as needed
- Handle other duties as assigned
