Local CDL-B P&D Driver — $32.45–$35.57/hr

Our company needs a local pickup and delivery driver at its Markham, IL service center. You'll run a straight truck on routes within and between states, including trips to other company service centers.

Pay

• $32.45 to $35.57 per hour

• Pay increases at 60, 180, 280 and 360 days for specified positions

• Weekly direct deposit

What you'll haul

• Freight moved by straight truck on intra-state and inter-state runs, including transfers between service centers

• You'll also sort, load and unload freight, and secure cargo properly so it doesn't shift or get damaged in transit

Schedule

• Operates Monday through Sunday, with days off set by business needs

• AM and PM shifts, assigned based on operational demands and subject to change

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements

• At least 1 year of Class B driving experience

• Valid DOT physical and medical certificate

• No more than two moving violations in the last three years

• Able to read, write and speak English

• At least 21 years old

• Must pass onboarding steps: drug screen, background check, MVR and PSP checks

• Must pass new-hire training, including written tests, a driving test, a trailer combination test and a forklift test

• Comfortable with sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting and reaching, and working in docks, trucks and outdoor conditions including heat, cold and low light

• Able to track trip details, read manifests, follow navigation and check shipment labels accurately; steady attendance expected
