About this job
Our company is looking for a Class B CDL driver to run a local, home-daily route out of Hanover, MD, hauling HVAC equipment solo through MD, DC and VA.
Pay
- $28.28 per hour, paid weekly
- Drivers on this account typically take home $1131 or more per week
- At least 40 hours scheduled per week
- Paid training included
Schedule and home time
- Monday through Friday, starting at 5:00 AM
- Home every day
What you'll haul
- Touch freight: HVAC equipment
- You'll drive a 26' straight truck, no older than 36 months, equipped with a pallet jack and lift gate
- our company trains you on all the equipment you'll need
- Trucks are backed by 24/7 roadside assistance and fueling support at more than 800 locations nationwide
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL, plus a Hazmat endorsement within 60 days of hire
- Verifiable tractor-trailer or comparable experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, OR 2 years in the last 5 years, OR 5 years in the last 10 years
- Must pass a drug test, background check, DOT physical and road test, along with a motor vehicle and prior-employer drug/alcohol check covering the last 3 years
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, policies and procedures
- Some assignments may involve extra screening, such as employment/education checks or customer badging requirements
Responsibilities
- Follow applicable safety laws, rules and company standards
- Spot and address safety hazards
- Keep accurate logs and records
- Load or unload freight when the customer requires it
- Handle other assigned tasks
