Local CDL-A Yard Driver — Home Daily, $24.50/hr Starting

Work as a yard driver for our company in Bridgewater, VA, shuttling trailers within a single yard. You stay on site for your whole shift, so there's no highway driving, no customer stops and no long routes to manage.

What the job involves

• Shuffle trailers around the yard and between dock doors using drop and hook

• Do pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your equipment

• Stick to safety rules and company procedures

• Stay in touch with dispatch and yard staff

• Keep your logs and paperwork accurate

Schedule and driving conditions

• Home every day, with a schedule you can count on

• Almost no highway or road driving

• No freight handling, customer deliveries or multi-stop runs

• Same location every shift, with steady, repeatable work

Pay

• Starting pay of $24.50 per hour (pay range $24.50-26.50 per hour)

• $2.00 shift differential depending on your schedule

• Overtime pay after 40 hours

• Paid weekly

Equipment

You'll work with modern, well-kept equipment, including electric yard trucks as part of a program that has already logged over 2 million zero-emission miles.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Current DOT medical card

• Clean driving record

• Prior experience driving tractor-trailers

• Comfortable working outdoors in any weather

• Able to get in and out of the truck repeatedly during your shift
