Local CDL-A Yard Driver — Home Daily, $21.50/hr + $1 Shift Differential

Our company is hiring a yard driver in Joliet, IL. You'll spend your whole shift shuttling trailers around one yard instead of out on the highway, giving you a steady, repeatable routine every day.

What the work looks like

• You stay in one location, with no highway miles, customer stops, or multi-stop routes

• The freight is no-touch

• Your main tasks are moving trailers between dock doors and handling drop-and-hook work

• You'll do pre-trip and post-trip inspections, follow safety rules, keep logs accurate, and stay in contact with dispatch and the yard team

Schedule

You're home every day, with consistent, predictable hours you can count on.

Pay

• Pay ranges from $21.50 to $22.50 per hour, with a $1 shift differential on top

• Overtime pay kicks in after 40 hours

• You're paid weekly

• Refer someone who gets hired and stays on, and you can earn up to $2,000

What you need

• A valid Class A CDL

• A current DOT medical card

• A clean driving record

• Prior experience behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer

• Willingness to work outside in all weather

• Ability to climb in and out of the truck repeatedly throughout your shift
