Local CDL-A Yard Driver — $25.75/hr, Home Daily

Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to handle yard and local shuttle work out of the Bloomfield, CT yard. You'll run solo on local routes and be home every day, moving a 53' reefer trailer with no-touch freight.

Pay

• Weekly paycheck of $1107.25 or more

• Hourly rate of $25.75

• About 42 hours scheduled per week

What you'll haul

• Solo driving, delivering to the Bloomfield Yard

• Ottawa tractor, with automatic transmission restriction accepted

• 53' reefer trailer, no-touch freight

• Trucks are 36 months old or newer, backed by 24/7 roadside help and fueling at over 800 maintenance locations nationwide

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL with the right endorsements

• Verifiable tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years

• Must pass our company's drug screen, background check, motor vehicle record review, DOT physical and road test, including verification of drug and alcohol history from past employers over the last 3 years

• Able to follow spoken and written directions and apply relevant rules and procedures

• Some assignments may involve extra screening such as employment or education checks, a road test, or customer-specific badging

Day to day, you'll safely move and position tractor-trailers around the yard and on nearby public roads, follow DOT and safety rules, keep up with ongoing training, and maintain accurate yard and move records.
