Local CDL-A Yard Driver — $23.00/hr Plus Shift Differential, Home Daily

Our company is hiring a Yard Driver to shuttle trailers around a single yard in Northlake, IL. You stay on one site your whole shift, no highway miles or customer stops involved, and you're home every day.

What the job looks like

• You stay in one location the whole shift, no long-distance routes

• Minimal highway or road driving

• No touch freight, no multi-stop customer deliveries

• Repetitive, steady work moving trailers within the yard

• Consistent hours and dependable pay each week

Pay

• $23.00 per hour plus a $1 shift differential

• Overtime available after 40 hours

• Paid weekly, with benefit options

• Referral bonus up to $2,000 for each hire who stays on

What you'll do

• Move company trucks and trailers safely between yard locations, following CDL rules and Lazer's safety guidelines

• Check vehicles before and after shifts to confirm they're safe to operate

• Follow company and regulatory safety standards at all times

• Handle trailers and equipment carefully per customer agreements

• Stay in contact with dispatch, customers and coworkers at the site

• Keep accurate records of hours worked, routes driven and any incidents

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Solid driving history as a Class A CDL driver

• Current DOT physical and medical card

• Familiarity with trucking rules on both public roads and private lots like distribution centers

• Comfortable working long hours in different weather

• Good organization, time management and communication skills

• Able to get in and out of the truck repeatedly during a shift
