Local CDL-A Yard Driver — $21.50–$22.50/hr + Home Daily

Work as a yard jockey for our company in Joliet, IL, shuttling trailers within a single yard. You stay on site for your whole shift, with no highway miles, no customer stops and no multi-stop routes.

What the job involves

• Shift trailers between dock doors and around the yard

• Handle drop and hook work

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Follow company safety rules and procedures

• Stay in contact with dispatch and yard staff

• Keep accurate logs and paperwork

Schedule

You're home every day on a set schedule, with little to no road or highway driving and no touch freight involved. The work is steady and repeatable in one location, so your hours and pay stay predictable.

Pay

• Base pay of $21.50 per hour, plus a $1 shift differential

• Overtime available after 40 hours

• Paid weekly

• Referral bonus of up to $2,000 for each hire who stays on

• Pay range listed for this role: $21.50-22.50 per hour

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Current DOT medical card

• Clean driving record

• Prior tractor-trailer experience

• Comfortable working outdoors in any weather

• Able to climb in and out of the truck repeatedly during your shift
