About this job
Our company is hiring a Local Yard Driver in Morrisville, NC to shuttle trailers within a single yard location. You stay on-site for your whole shift, with no highway miles and no customer stops.
Pay
- Starting rate of $20.00 per hour
- Overtime pay after 40 hours in a week
- Paid weekly
- Referral bonus up to $2,000
Home time
- You're home every day, with a schedule you can count on
What you'll do
- Shuttle trailers between dock doors and yard spots
- Handle drop-and-hook moves
- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle checks
- Keep in contact with dispatch and yard staff
- Log your work accurately
- Follow company safety rules
Requirements
- Class A CDL
- Valid DOT medical card
- Clean driving history
- Prior tractor-trailer experience
- Comfortable working outdoors in any weather
- Able to climb in and out of the cab repeatedly through the shift
