About this job
Our company is hiring a CDL-A truck driver in Monticello, FL for a local, home-daily position. You'll operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, and may occasionally use a forklift.
Pay
- Starts at $29.35 per hour
- Classified as a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position
Home time
- Home daily
What you'll haul
- Doubles and triples combinations, hauling both hazardous and non-hazardous materials
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL
- Safe driving record
- Must obtain hazmat, tank vehicle, and doubles/triples endorsements within 90 days of starting (or already hold them)
- Pass a DOT drug test with no positive results or refusals in the past 3 years
- Valid DOT Medical Certification Card, or willingness to pass a company-paid DOT physical
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends, up to 12-14 hours
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate with the public and understand road signs, per DOT rules
What you'll do
- Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples
- Load and unload freight
- Assist customers and help generate sales leads
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods, sometimes outdoors in rough weather
