Our company is hiring a local CDL-A truck driver in Louisville, KY who gets home every day. Experienced drivers can start at $36.30 an hour.

Pay

• Experienced drivers can start at $36.30 an hour

• Classified as a Motor Carrier Act exempt role

Home time

• You'll be home daily

What you'll haul

• You'll run a tractor-trailer setup that can include doubles and triples

• Loads may include both hazardous and non-hazardous materials

Schedule

• Shifts can run 12 to 14 hours and may fall on days, nights or weekends

• Driving time can stretch up to 11 hours straight

What the job involves

• Operating the tractor-trailer safely in all weather

• Loading and unloading freight yourself

• Interacting with customers and occasionally identifying sales opportunities

• Physical tasks like lifting up to 50 lbs regularly (sometimes over 75 lbs), climbing in and out of the cab, and working outdoors in various conditions

Requirements

• At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL

• Clean driving history

• Willing to get hazmat, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements within 90 days if you don't already have them

• Able to pass a DOT drug screen with no positive results or refusals in the past 3 years

• Hold a current DOT medical card or pass a company-paid physical

• Forklift experience is a plus

• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate with the public and understand road signage, per DOT rules
