About this job
Our company in Nashville, TN needs a Class A tractor-trailer driver for local and regional runs around middle Tennessee, with occasional trips to Kentucky, Georgia and Alabama. You'll be home every day, with trucks staged out of yards in Nashville and Lavergne.
Pay
- Starting from $27.00 per hour
- Weekly earnings potential of $1100 to $1800
- Paid weekly by direct deposit
Home time
- Home daily
- Schedule isn't a standard 9 to 5, and some weekend work is available if you want extra pay
What you'll haul
- Deliver goods and materials to customers across the middle Tennessee region, with occasional runs into KY, GA and AL
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a current DOT medical card
- At least 5 years of verifiable Class A driving experience
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission
- Clean driving record and background check, and able to obtain a TSA/STA clearance number
- Must pass a DOT drug screening
What the job involves
- Operate the tractor-trailer safely while following all traffic laws and company procedures
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep equipment in good basic condition
- Keep accurate e-logs along with delivery, mileage and fuel records, and report any incidents or delays
- Stay in regular contact with dispatch and customers on delivery status and any issues
